I’ve traveled all over the world but still one of the most beautiful places to me is my home. I think I can appreciate living in Michigan so much more now that I’ve been away. I can appreciate the quick changing of seasons and how you are never far from a lake. It’s the little things that make this state feel like home to me.
One of my favorite things about Michigan is the fall season. The leaves on the trees change from green to bright shades of red, orange, and yellow. Then they begin to fall away leaving nothing but bare branches for winter.
There’s something so beautiful about being able to witness the changing of the seasons. It seems to happen overnight. One night I go to bed and it is still summer with bright green leaves and the next morning I wake up to the crisp fall air.
There are so many things to do in Michigan in the fall. Michigan is known for having apple orchards, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes. I live across the street from a farm that offers all three attractions. I love visiting and picking fresh Honey crisp apples off of the trees. It’s fun to go through the corn maze every season and get lost. This farm also offers a night corn maze which I find to be super difficult.
My favorite fall activity is spending the last few nice weather days at the lake. The worst part of fall is having the take the boat and dock out for the winter. So we always enjoy going on one last boat ride together as a family. Once the boat is out of the water for the winter you know summer is over.
I love seeing that people are visiting my site from all over the world. There are so many places to travel to but visiting in my own state is one of my all-time favorites. Let me know if there’s anything else you’d like to me to blog about in Michigan!
